The Floyd County Recreation Park will be closed Monday July 31st -Friday August 4th for VDOT work. The park will reopen when work is complete. Thank you.

Floyd County is obtaining bids for a new chain link fence to be built at the animal control office located at 110 Pound Rd SE, Floyd VA. 24091. This fence’s main purpose will be for families to be able to get to know the available animals for adoption, play with them and be able to find the perfect fit for their family.

Starting on Monday July 31, VDOT will be starting roadwork on Oxford street. Work is estimated to be completed by August 3rd. They will be using flaggers and will not be closing the street off entirely.

We are pleased to announce that the Floyd County Transfer Station is fully operational and ready to serve the community once again following a temporary closure due to a power outage. Thank you for your patience and continued support.
