Animal Control officers enforce County and State regulations for fowl, poultry, livestock, and dangerous animals, dog tags and control stray animals. They administer the dog shelter and investigate animal cruelty and abuse cases and bite/rabies cases.

Animal Control Officer Harvey Waddell is either on duty or on call at all times. A message can be left during closed hours at the Floyd County Sheriffs Office 540-745-9334, and for emergency calls.
